Jonathan Travers Triumphs at 2024 San Gervasio Pro Am
U.S. water ski athlete Jonathan Travers (Groveland, Fla.) clinched the men’s slalom title at the 10th San Gervasio Pro Am, held July 6-7 at Jolly Ski in San Gervasio, Italy. The event showcased some of the world’s elite male and female professional slalom skiers, with live coverage provided by The Water Ski Broadcasting Company.
The competition featured two preliminary rounds on Saturday, followed by a third round and head-to-head brackets on Sunday to determine the champions. Travers emerged victorious against Great Britain’s Will Asher in the head-to-head final, scoring 2 buoys at 41 feet off to Asher’s 1-1/2 at 41 off. This win marks Travers’ first professional victory since the 2019 America’s Cup Invitational.
In the women’s slalom, Canada’s Jaimee Bull took the title, defeating France’s Manon Costard in the head-to-head final. Bull scored 6 buoys at 39-1/2 off to Costard’s 2 at 39-1/2 off, securing her victory.
