Lucia Dörffel: From Olympic Qualifier Triumph to Bouldering Success

Lucia Dörffel, fresh off securing her Olympic ticket at the Budapest qualifier, recently achieved another impressive feat by conquering Riverbed (8B) in Magic Wood. Reflecting on her achievement, Dörffel shared, “I was in Magic for just two days. It was a perfect short trip with good vibes and great weather. Really cool boulder. The road to securing her Olympic qualification in Budapest was no easy feat, as Dörffel described it as one of the toughest competitions she’s ever faced due to immense mental pressure. “I think it was challenging for all athletes who competed there,” she added. After a promising start in Shanghai, Dörffel found herself in a favorable position for an Olympic spot. “I’m really happy I could manage my mind in the second qualifier and showcase my best climbing,” she emphasized.
